Just for info,

Heres what the internals of a smart roadster headlamp look like:

Notice how they could be adopted quite easily to suit the Mk3 headlamp positioning......

I shall look forward to the finished result :) even though I'm rather keen on keeping the originality of these cars.

I was looking at these as an option or going the Porsche 928 route to give me space for an engine conversion

Funny how we are all trying to skin the cat in a different way, yes that is my problem Wolfie! I need to move the headlight forward to get a different engine in. What about this solution! Guess the car.
