No, it has to do with bad jig drilling. If you look at the subframe in relation to the body, you'll see it's not perfectly perpendicular. I have a similar problem on my blue convertible. I made mudflaps from small strips of rubber, but then found out the left wheel is sticking out more than the right one. The subframe is perpendicular, but a little off center. I intend to rectify this when I replace the subframe with a new one I recently bought. There is a thread on this forum that discussed the possibilities to rectify such an error (seems to be common on the Midas cars also because of badly built subframes) with adjustable arms. It is known that they exist for the Metro racing series, but I have never found pictures or any other info about them.
