According to a certain Harold 'O Connor at www.morette.com they have stock of the mounting rings. I have asked details and have suggested they put them directly in their webshop and provide me with a link. TBC.

I was surprised to find a UK person on the other end of the email since I thought Morette is/was a French company. But the person Harold O'Connor has registered the site morette.com and seems to live in Wales and is connected to 2 automotive companies (I googled him, also found messages of people from a Subaru forum having sent money but did not receive anything). I wonder what is going on. Check this out:

But IF the morette stock/production is now in the UK that would make life easier. Then maybe someone in the vincinity could pick these mounting rings up locally and distribute further.
I still haven't heard any prices, I also asked at what order we would get a discount. I suppose if all is safe concerning money and business a group buy would be interesting?

For anyone needing the smaller driving light mounting rings:

just 9,50 euro per pair. It doesn't get much cheaper than that!

Hi Hans,

I'll wait and see what the prices are, then I will contact them and get a quantity delivered to me and distribute from here. If everyone is happy with that or do you think I should contact him directly?

Good work by the way Hans.

Is there a French speaker on this forum who could organize a quantity buy from this site? As I'm just another lazy Englishman who doesn't speak another language, unless "Geordie" counts as another language

Hi Wolfie,

I may be jumping the gun here! But I was thinking that we should have these smaller Mk 3 spotlight rings in stock as they may be in short supply in the future! The idea would be; to buy a quantity from this French supplier at a suitable discount and a multiply carriage price, but maybe they are available from a UK source!

We need an internet searcher on the case!

I have asked this Harold chap where his whereabouts are. As far as I can find out he works for Britania Cars, an automotive import company based just outside Cardiff (we have a forum member there :) ) . They were the importers of Morette. Morette went bust in 2006 or 2007. Somewere in that period there were complaints of non delivery and consquently a message from Harold stating that the inventory was moved hence a delayed delivery.
I assume that Britania Cars bought the stock from Morette and possibly the production facility as well and moved it to the Cardiff region.
If this is the case, it is just a matter of ordering the rings from Britania Cars and no expensive transport costs for the British. I think the parts on French Ebay are original old stock French parts. I have read on other forums that after the bankruptcy also other importers bought stock from Morette.
TBC.

I've asked him for shipment to the UK for about 10 sets and also 1 set to the Netherlands (can't resist the bargain). And also have asked if he has the 7" rings. My French is a bit rusty, but I manage.

I got this "massage" back from the Frenchy:
POUR 1 A 2 LOTS 12 ? 50 AVEC SUIVIE POSTAL
POUR 10 A 12 LOTS PORT 25
?UROS
So it seems ordering 1 or 2 sets to the UK or Holland is 12,50 euro and 10 to 12 sets is 25 euro. I have no idea if these are realistic shipping fees from France or that it is a rip off. I have asked a school friend who lives in France if these prices are reasonable.
BTW emailing in other languages is pretty simple with Google translate (I realised later), I have been corresponding with someone in Hungary and Google translate worked very well.
