Road tax exemption

Postby Hans Efde » Sat Nov 19, 2011 10:46 am

Hey hey, good news from Holland. Our right wing government has decided that the road tax exemption rule for classic cars will be continued in steps. The previous left government had stopped this rule for cars after 1986. But now owners of 1987 cars (and that means plenty of gold coupees!) will have a road tax free car soon. Money in the pocket is always good news!

Good news indeed Hans, I wish the government here would do the same.

I think that is a great move and for really sound reasons.

When all said and done its actually very eco friendly having an old car on the road when you take into account the manufacturing process resources involved in making a new car......even if the so called modern engine is more economical. Theres still not that many cars that can do 50 plus MPG like a 1 litre Midas can...and thats on an SU!
