1001 dreamcars by Richard Dredge

This evening I was in a cheap book store and noticed the book 1001 dreamcars by Richard Dredge with ISBN 978140759399. I can't find it on Ebay with this ISBN, so probably it is a new run of this book. I've found similar books on Ebay but with a different ISBN. I didn't buy it because it is the usual collection of well known supercars.
Only this book is interesting because it is also mentioning all sorts of rare sportscars. Obviously I had to check if Midas was in and YES it was. In this particular book (in Dutch) on page 163 (could be 162) a picture of a burgundy Gold coupe mk3 is shown. It is the car with the DARP plate. It must be rather new because Alistair and Alternative cars are mentioned. Just 2 mistakes. The car is said to do 200 km/h and it is now known as the Cortez.
So for anyone who wants to collect really everything about Midas this could be your gift for under the Christmas tree!

I bought a copy of this book today in the bargain book section of my local garden centre. I went in to buy a present for my mum and got side-tracked.
For £5.99 (available for half that on Amazon) it's given me a great deal of interesting stuff to browse through. Two cars that I've had or still got are in there - the Midas Gold (in the 'Oddball' section) and the AC 3000ME. Despite thirteen different Triumphs being listed, the wonderful Spitfire isn't among them, which is a bit odd when exotics like the Renault Espace creep in. My dad's old Austin 3 Litre gets a mention though.
