The triple instruments should fit in the standard Mk1 dash or at least the ones I've seen all tend to have it.
Alistair is worth asking as he has at least one Mk1 in front of the workshop.

Re: White Mk 2 No.233
Great to see a good flow of nicely restored and tidied up Midas
There's going to be a nice show of cars at Stoneleigh again assuming you'll bring it along Jon?
For those who might be tempted by a Midas as a project David Turner has one looking for someone to take it on in Bradford that needs a ...

Re: Daft or ambitious?
I am gradually getting her to sit on the passenger seat. It's one of the reasons I'm trying to put obstacles in her way in the back of the car as she keeps pulling the wires off the HRW and obscures the rear view out which is not too great to kick off with. I know it's a bit radical but hey I like ...

Re: Daft or ambitious?
I'd love to be able to tell you but I can't really. I was just having a bit of fun with something to be honest anyway as what it's from would make the Midas unusable even for the Stig I'm sure!
As for the eBay auction. Yes I'd seen that too and had I not already got this Midas I would have been ...

Daft or ambitious?
Some of you might have heard that I wanted something a little more modern and a bit more entertaining in my Midas Gold. Well look what I've got and it's in the back

Re: Renewal notice and Newsletter
I was just wondering if there's a 'best before' date for news items in the Newsletter now that this seems to becoming a regular thing in addition to the magazine.
One of the things I am wondering about for example is a list of 'local' people dotted around the country that are happy to meet other ...

Re: MK 2 rad removal
I've changed my rad a couple of times but had both good and disastrous results hence twice. It's been a while since I did it so can't really say how I did it but I do know that it's really tight and you have to get just the right angles. To be honest it's best doing it the long way rather than ...

Re: Mk2 Promotive R1 on eBay
That does indeed look like a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a rather special Midas I wonder what this would have been back in the day had it been an option from the factory....
Midas Platinum or Midas Mercury perhaps? either way someone could have a really nice car there

Re: Metro parts
I've got a whole Metro, with a K series engine rebuilt by Len Bridge (yes that Len Bridge, clue..... you might need to dig 'Deep'), that's doing nothing other than acting as a large storage box at my Workshop.
