Front subframe £1000, rear coilovers £250, rebuilt rear swinging arms £150, mini fin drums £75, stainless steel fuel tank £175, steering rack £60 and that's before you add in the radiator, lights and other parts I have already sourced. Hi, I think it is a wide arch mk1, but Alistair would have to confirm. He knows the car as the plan was for him to rebuild it. Shame I can't do it now but the firm I work for are in trouble and I can't justify the expense.

I had a similar thing happen in a Morris Minor, it would run fine for a couple of days then just overheat an loose all it's water. It turned out to be a blown head gasket. If you can't find any other cause it might be worth pulling the head.
