Midas Mk3 Coupe Handbrake cable availability.
Hi All, My first post for ages (years?!). I am finally near to getting my Mk 3 Coupe back on the road and for recommissioning all I need is a new hand brake cable (the only snag at moment anyway!). Is anyone able to supply a shortened Metro cable please?

Re: MIDAS MK 3 REAR SIDE WINDOW
Thanks Hans, I will give it a day or two and hope one shows up. Otherwise I could also be getting the Jigsaw out. Mine were glass but had been direct glazed with a polymer.

MIDAS MK 3 REAR SIDE WINDOW
Has anyone got a side window (preferably an offside but both or either would do) for a Mk 3 Coupe for sale please?

Re: clutch cable..
I think you have the right approach for fitting the new cable ( my Haynes manual was too old and only showed hydraulic ones!) Re: N C 500
I've been thinking about this route 'since you put the link on site. Looks like it would be a great drive in the summer months (especially in a Midas). Definitely one I would consider when time allows!

CABLE CLUTCH AND LEVER REPAIR SUCCESS
ZENIBOX 002.JPG After some helpful advice on the forum, I have finally got an effective clutch! After taking out the old clutch release arm and plunger, I found excessive wear to the plunger (see pics). Even though I had 'built up' the ball end of the lever, this was insufficient to offset the ...

Hi, It looks very similar to my own Mk2, there is no bulge in my bonnet or vented louvres either. Some details are different, including the vented rear bumper.

Re: Coupe cable clutch problems
Hi Hans.Just back from a holiday. A hydraulic swap would be my preferred route, but I see the bulkhead has a slope to it. Is this an easy obstacle to overcome?

Re: Coupe cable clutch problems
Thanks for the link. I haven't checked yet but I think the cable clutch arm is a different throw to the hydraulic item. I'm not sure the minispares one will fit, so I think I will need to contact them. Was the Avonbar engine based on the turbo lump as my local stockist says this is not available?(I ...
