After some helpful advice on the forum, I have finally got an effective clutch! After taking out the old clutch release arm and plunger, I found excessive wear to the plunger (see pics). Even though I had 'built up' the ball end of the lever, this was insufficient to offset the extreme wear to the plunger. I obtained new parts and when fitted, was a little disappointed, (to say the least!) to find the clutch still slipping. After a few more adjustments to the self-adjusting cable, it finally set itself up and for the first time since buying the car, I am enjoying full power to the wheels. However, despite having the standard clutch pedal modification the biting point is still a shade low. On a quite different subject, can anyone tell me how to lower the rear coil-over suspension?
