I had TR7 seats in my Mark 2 - and they worked well and I had Ridguard ones in the Mark 3.
Sounds like if you could modify your existing seats and use a thin layer of high density memory foam that may be the best solution.
Failing that I can ask Alan Hudson if he still has the lovely black leather ...
