Midas Missing

I went to the Tatton Park classic car show yesterday which was as good as ever and well attended, but I was disappointed when I didn't spot any Midas's there at all, let alone a mk1 or 2 that I was hoping to see. I am in need of looking at and photographing various parts of a mk1/2 to aid me in ...

I'm getting pretty close to getting the engine into the car and checking the build manual under the heading " front subframe assembly" paragraph seven refers to spacers when fitting the tower bolts ? My car came with the subframe already separate from the car so I have not seen how the subframe is ...

Recently spotted in Derbyshire

I was near Ashbourne last week and spotted this forlorn Mk2 along side the A52, as you can see from the tax disc it would seem to have been on the road in 2013. Overall condition appeared fairly good though the wheel arch extensions need some work ...

Wiring loom

I will need a new wiring loom for my mk1 and have been looking through previous postings about looms to try and come to a conclusion but have failed.
I have gathered that originally Midas had there own looms which were sold with the kits and assume these are no longer available. So I ask the ...

Re: Front shockabsorber

Think I have resolved what is required for the bracket or at least decided what I am going to do with mine. That picture you posted Stuart, if you look closely at it you can see that the back plate of the bracket has been extended upwards on the top edge, in other words lowering the centre line of ...

Re: Front shockabsorber

Sorry just noticed your comment Stuart about a top extension piece, this is just visible on the picture that John posted, but my existing brackets did not have an extension piece ?? A copy of the diagram DHM28/29 would answer many questions.
