Re: Cortez 2+2 coupe For Sale
No takers or even interest?
I think the Cortez was a good update for the time (front/headlights/shut lines excepted) and the engine way better than the A series lump in its predecessors but obviously no one on here is keen.
Shame - seller stick it on Car and Classic UK website - pretty good at ...

Re: Mk 1 Project Zippy. Looking Like a Car.
They have aged very well that gen of SLK and seem to have been the first Mercedes of that era to have shaken off their post 1997 ability to do what Mercs were famous for not doing - rusting away.

Both look good, great thread BTW - Jon your centre box looks low I guess not too low.
My Mk3 has pretty much no center box which means nothing to get trashed but a lot of noise.

Re: Mk2 Metro heater box assembly
Have got my eye on the Bay but they do seem a bit rubbish
Have decided to ignore the heater and just go with getting her on the road. Spent a bit over time tuning her up and God was she all over the place. Static timing was so far out as was the mixture that I am surprised she ran at all, that ...

Mk2 Metro heater box assembly
Hello
The final touches to 'Piglet's' interior have caused me to decide the current lash up of a heater is not worth keeping.
Anyone have a spare heater - full assembly but not the engine bay fan assembly going spare?
Get in touch as that and a bit of wiring to the new dashboard and a tune up is ...

You are our winner Hans.
Indeed the ambitiously priced cream car has become a very nice gunmetal grey example. Totally suits the hood colour and lifts the car considerably. As you say though little else is correct (maybe at £2000 not £7000).
My thoughts are how much better Midas's look in a ...
