I've not seen all these R&D photos before other than the non-fitting 8v vauxhall!

From the looks of it, there are lots of options that would work - just need to be prepared to cut out the lights and move them forward.

I'll check out the link, I do remember watching a couple of his videos a while ago. As you'll know from your course, practise makes perfect. I'm sure I'll end up having a go at mig too, I really enjoyed my first course at a local college.

It was coincidence this week, that this weeks video is a job I need to do (if I had a working welder). I've just acquired a tube bender similar to the bender as shown in the video, mines a JMR tube bender. Thanks James, just need to make it all happen. The whole exercise has been very costly, so if I can make it work, I'll need to make a few subframes and sell them, with the hope of recovering some of my costs. So hence the jig.

I've got some very nice (if I say so myself); adjustable rear beams {subframes} in the stocks at the moment for the Mk 1&2's and a two new designs of rear beam for the Mk 3. If only I had my welder back, but everything stops for Christmas.

Merry Christmas everybody good to see so much homework going keep up the good work just wish I could help a little but my mechanical knowledge is poor at best but I'm keeping my eye out for ideas I want to put a Kawasaki ninja engine in the front of mine but it seems impossible especially considering I don't own a ninja engine lol
