Front and rear subframes
Ps not sure about the mounts as I have been hectic at work and at home as my ten month old has tonsillitis and a chest infection I will ring him over the weekend and have a proper discussion about them
Re: Front and rear subframes
Some of the other site members (I think Hans Efde and David Manifold, at least) have already done this, and there are threads on the subject but I can't remember where they are - but I'd have a look in the Technical sections for the Mk 3 coupe and convertible, for starters. You need to weld capped collars to the subframe towers where the Hydragas spheres were, to contain the springs; I think the springs are referred to as a Watson spring set. I don't know who sells them - I've Googled "Watson Springs" but couldn't find anything useful.b1zbaz wrote:How much work is it to do the steel springs I would be interested in doing that myself as springs front and rear must feel better than hydragas front coil overs rear
