Hi my name is John and have just become the owner of a white 87 mk2 repatriated from Ireland
My previous hobby car was a 71 mini but i prefer the no rust body approach
I am sure some assistance will be required during the overhaul of this little beauty.

. He's got a gorgeous Gold Coupe he's working with at the moment which should spur people on a fair bit. It has done for me. Wish I could afford to get a paint job like that done but I've got to finish the bodywork on mine first.

I guess you are talking about the very nice blue one he has, absolutely stunning paint job on it, very jealous!

Welcome sir! Was it north or south Ireland? Had problems registering my Latham as it was still Triumph on the log book.

Out of interest, what's the Kwack you're restoring?

This car came from northern ireland but didn't have a v5c as it had not been on the road since 96
But luckily i was given an original v5 from ireland so was able to use this to obtain a uk v5c
The kwak im building is a H2 750 but with a 4 cylinder engine (modified triple) so H2 1000

Ooo! Was that the one nicknamed the Widow Maker? I've never ridden one but heard they were rapid and kind of scarey!
Pleased you've got your registration ok. It's alot easier now I believe with vehicles from Northern Ireland. Seven years ago though, when I got my Latham from there, Dvla and DvlNI were operating ( to a certain amount) seperately.

The DVLA and NI still don't work together even have separate computer systems that will
