Stoneleigh 2013

Post by kelvink »

OK I thought I'd just mention the big show is just around the courner and I'm rushing about trying to get as much at least partly presentable of my Mk2 to show you guys what i've been up to. It's not going to be in the state I would like it to be in but I think you'll get the idea of what I'm doing and hopefully there will be general nods of approval. I am pleased with how it's looking though would have liked it to be nearer finished but hey how many of us ever finish things in plenty time?

I'll be trailering my car to the show so it'll be obvious as to which is mine particularly as it'll be very different too :-) Busy busy work work

Oh one of the things I'm sure folk will like to see and try is a lightweight seat I'm making. It's sooooooo comfortable it has actually slowed me up a bit because It's just so good to sit in it.

Anyways who else is going to be there? drag out the Midas even if it's not concourse or even finished, it would be good to see lots there and share some ideas etc.

Been "planning" to go for quite a while, but as it gets closer it's looking less likely that I'll be there with my Midas - might turn up in a VW van at this rate! Your lightweight seat sounds intruiging, I'm keen to see that.

Even if I do come in the Midas, it'll only have one seat in it and no carpets, at this rate...

I won't be coming this year but Ed and I have agreed we will be there in 2014 provided all goes well.

I don't think I'm going to be there either work is not particularly great at the moment so I'm slowly but surely being credit crunched if money is any better I will make an appearance

I'm afraid I won't be there either, time and money aren't being kind enough to sponsor a trip to Coventry this year.

I was planning to, but with the Midas out of action and going on holiday the week after it's looking more and more unlikely, would like to see some pictures of the event and your car all the same!

I will be coming with Alan D from the far north [though not as far as David L!] and I think George is coming down as well.I am still carless at the moment [careless?] but will have a good look around when I am there.I am not bikeless though, and its about time I showed my 'alternative project' on here. see you at the show,Stan.

I'll be travelling farther than you might imagine - Tayport (home) to Stoneleigh, via Salisbury!

I make that about 658 miles...

If I'm correct it would cost more to go as a passenger in my dads kit car than it would to drive my car there so I'm going and so is the Midas and camping
