I make that about 658 miles...
I'm taking the roundabout route round Salisbury via Southampton and Winchester but then I'm in Dorset so not really the same degree of detour really

I had hoped to go this year but I dont think its going to happen. Too many projects and hobbies going on...and not enough time.

I'm interested (and intrigued) to see what Kelvins been up to. I have a few little things underway too ;).

Theres a lot that can be done with (totally different) wrap around bumpers, bonnets etc to change the shape of the car without disturbing the car underneath. Same with the dashboard area too with a bolt on veneer.

Hoping to get a big push on and get there next year with the KAD convertible and 5 speed dog....finally. I might bring the tent too.

All the best,

It looks like I'll have to give Stoneleigh a miss this year. The midas has only been out twice for short runs this year in is not running well at all. I'll probably spend the weekend trying to get the engine working better and might even get some ground clearance for the exhaust.

Bit iof good news - Complete Kit Car will be doing a photoshoot of various Richard Oakes designed cars at Stoneleigh and we have been asked to participate. Already had a couple of offers of cars for this but don't know how many the mag would like to feature - one per Midas model, I wonder ? When we gather on the Club pitch on Sunday, maybe let me know and I will make a list. The shoot is scheduled for Monday morning, I understand. Chance for your beloved to be featured in a mag and good publicity for the Midas marque !!

I decided today that there's too much to do to mine to get it going for next weekend, so I'll be at Stoneleigh - in my van.

Too many things still need to be done to the Midas - I'd even be struggling to get it through its MoT in time, since I have to leave for the weekend on Thursday morning.
