Forum Banners

Post by Rich »

I've knocked up a small banner to use in forum signatures to provide some links back to here and help make us a little more visible to search engines. I had a friend who is far more graphic savvy than me looking at it but he's busy and this has been moving with the pace of a glacier so this is a quickie of my own.

This is what it looks like.. Image

And this is the bbCode to use with forums...

Code: Select all

[url=http://www.midasownersclub.co.uk/forums/][img]http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1595/zabbgzbqgf.jpg[/img][/url]
.. and HTML code for websites..

Code: Select all

<div><a href="http://www.midasownersclub.co.uk/forums/" target="_blank"><img src="http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1595/zabbgzbqgf.jpg"alt="Generated image" title="Midas Cars Forum" style="border: 0px" /></a></div>

I've updated the forum address within the banners so they now point to this address. I've also added the QR code which can be scanned by smart phones to give the forum link.

Not sure if your 'banner' signatures are supposed to link to any specific pages but both of you above, your linked banners link to a non existent page this is the link you are using

http://http//midasownersclub.co.uk/forums/index.php%20/ and it's the %20 (which is a space) should not be included in the URL

Thanks Kelvin, I'd got one too many 'http' in there too. Now fixed and good to go. ;)
