Hi All,

No idea on covering the silver apart from pimp tint film but I have just had a quote of £106 from Autoglass to prime and install the screen.

Cheers,

Mike

I spoke to a local installer who thought £40 would be more like it. That said, I've always found Autoglass to quote roughly double the best price I normally get elsewhere.

Sorry I missed you on Sunday Mike, I had to make a move before the meeting finished unfortunately.

No worries, I was there about 12:30 but parked by the butty wagon as the club stand was refreshingly busy!!

If you still need it PM me your address and I'll bung it in the post.

Cheers,

mike

Hi you all!

Has anyone fitted their screen as yet, or consider sorting out the electrics?

Not yet, I suspect this will be one of the last things I do before the MOT.

So who has fitted their heated front screen? I still haven't even seen one yet, has anyone got a photo of one fitted? or even a photo of one not yet fitted?

Thanks

My old screen has somehow now got a crack in it and winter is well on the way!

It's on my list of things to do after the next pay-day.

Are Metro blowers always completely pathetic?

no theyre ok in a metro but in the midas they can be.

1. make sure the rectangular hole in back is sealed off or you will be blowing air under dash.

2. cut a piece of inner tube and use it to seal the duct to the blower housing.

3. make sure all the ducts are sealed off well. I converted mine to the mini y piece for under the dash to windscreen. these interface with the mk1 metro adapters. blank off the large duct on the adapter with a coffee jar lid.

should be ok then.

cheers,
