Top tip. Kevlar material

Post by Rich »

If you are looking for some kevlar fibre to laminate in some re-inforcements you can either spend a fortune buying it by the meter or you can buy a surplus ballistic vest panel. I've just stripped out a 15" panel and found over 3 square meters of kevlar in fine and coarse weaves inside. Not bad going for around £20.

Good find but where on earth do you buy a surplus ballistic vest?

Believe it or not, Ebay. You only need the inserts rather than the carriers.
