Stoneleigh

Post by Alan D. »

Hello all,

The plan so far is to meet at the new Wetherby services on Saturday the 2nd May at 11:00am. We will form a convoy there and the slowest car takes the lead. I'm expecting a motley crew, possible a Quantum, a Volvo estate, maybe a seven type car (we're not proud), Johnny's Domino(looking forward to seeing this car) and possibly a few Midas's. Namely the regular tent erection crew. This takes me back to my early engineering days, we used to build cranes and for a time I worked in the erection department!

Any questions please ring 0191 2855918 or 07909 903 203.

Hello everyone,

I just wondered how the show went? also has anyone got any photos of the show too?

I'd have loved to have gone, but it would have been a bit of a slog given my current ill health.

Thanks in advance

Hi Stuart,
On Sunday there was a good turnout, 22 or 23 cars. On Monday only a few because of the bad weather. There were 2 that hadn't been on Sunday. I'll post a few pics on Flicr.com the coming days and perhaps a video on Youtube. I just have to break open my boot for my luggage since the hinges got damaged when it got overstretched because of a wind blast by a truck (other story, will tell you later) and now it won't open anymore.

I found a number of pics on flickr.com of Stoneleigh 2009 from a chap who has had advanced training in Photoshop. Here are a few related to us, but he has many more. Worth a few, they are quite artistic.
