It seems odd now, but that was one of the few TV programmes of that era I remember watching with my father.

Never had the urge to watch the recent remake, though. Might have spoiled some memories!

And I'd be sorely tempted to buy a white Moke with a stripey roof, but Portmeirion's the only place I've ever seen one.
