I didn't think there was enough room in a Mark 2 for a turbo engine...

Was the bulkhead modified to get it in? There was very little room between the exhaust and the bulkhead in my Mark 2 - I eventually remote-mounted an electric fuel pump on it, because I thought i was getting fuel vapourisation with a normally aspirated engine.

If you intend to drive it, make sure there is enough cooling. A number of turbo engined Midasses have been burned. I had extra insulation on the bonnet, heatshields and extra ducting from the front, around the negine block, to the turbo to keep it cool. But in traffic jams the brake lines would heat up so much that I didn't have brakes anymore. When moving again it cooled down sufficiently to work again. Also oil temperature was a problem although the oil cooler did a good job later on. But in the end I got rid of the turbo, I never trusted the car and usually something would break down. It will be a challenge to get a reliable turbo engined Midas.

Thanks. I'm not sure what condition the engine is in. I'm going to take it out have a look at it See what it needs. I have 1300 a series engine that is in the first car I bought . I'm going to run it see how it goes.
I'm looking to sell what I don't need from the second car
