No not a Midas Gold convertible but the new Mini concept roadster:

I'd love to know if the designer took any design queues from the midas

I've always thought the real ( Sir Alec) mini's where the only true mini's and still do, but if that car goes as well as it looks I could be persuaded to give one a try.

Hmmm I have to really stretch my imagination long and hard to see a Midas in that but OK yes I can see where you're getting at. I've seen far more Midas like cars than that though.

I do think the Smart Roadster/Coupe has a lot of the Spirit of the Midas in it each time I see one I think to myself "that should have a Midas badge on that"
