Re: Wheel combinations
I have that combination on my Midas Bronze Decathlon. Minilights (copy Minilites) 5 x 12 on the rear with Standard Rover mini 4.5 x 12
Minilite style wheels on the front, with Yokohamas A539 165 60 12 . The only problem being that the spare has to be a 5 x 12 minilight wheel as the tyres on the rover wheel jam against the coilover spring! I find the handling and roadholding is perfect. I use to run 5x12 all round with 155 70 x 12 tyres years ago until I damaged one of the wheels and replaced them with two of my mini' wheels. This tyres made the suspension feel softer due to the higher aspect ratio and the handling seemed better as it gave you more warning that you were reaching the adhesion limits.
