Hi Steve here from Sutton, in the not very leafy parts of Surrey.

I own a very sorry Mk1 that has been in my garage for far too long now. I came to the (old) forum not long ago looking for advice about how to repair my car and found help in abundance - and have high hopes that that will continue here.

I bought a Midas because as much I loved Minis, I was sick and tired of welding up holes in them and have always taken comfort from the fact that my Midas won't end up as a pile of red dust on the garage floor no matter how long I neglect it! That said, I recently ventured back to the garage to reacquaint myself with the car and next on the agenda is a heater (for the garage) to avoid hypothermia and back ache.

Bank manager (Mrs J) permitting I would like to have the car back on the road next to celebrate 50 years of the 'real' Mini.
