Demister switch
I urgently need a 1985-89 Metro rear demister switch. Mine won't latch, and you can only drive so far with your finger on it! Ebay has the earlier and later types but not this one...

Re: Demister switch
Hi Geoff
You can fix them reasonably simply there is a hook inside that gets bent so doesn't latch. The alternative is to get hold of a fog light switch and swap the tops.
Another alternative is to get a Range Rover Classic heated screen, foglight, spot, interior or cruise control switch and change the top over.
The come to pieces really easily by pressing the lugs on the side in. On the Bronze I've gone over to Range Rover ones because they're 10 a penny and aside from a slightly different top are otherwise identical you can even move the pins around as needed to suit a particular application.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Mike
