Midas Gold Convertible Turbo on Gumtree

Question is if it still has the turbo engine. Anyway a damage free Gold convertible with at first sight a good gelcoat for 650 is a steal (and it has the Rover 213 dash!). If it still has the turbo engine (and it is in reasonable nick) it's practically for free. A good turbo engine will fetch 650 quite easily. come on who is going to rescue this car?

One day someone in this club will design a fastback hardtop and then you don't have to choose anymore. A coupe in winter and a convertible in summer!

I had a discussion about this, a hard top with butresses similar to the jaguar xjs to give access to the boot and look coupe ish from the side, or, remove the bootlid and have a glass hatchback

Yes I discussed this before, remove the bootlid and use the edge to clamp the hardtop in place. Rear window hatch as the coupe. They do nice ones on the MX5.


I have no drawing skills, but came up with this:

I would expect a talented person could design a hardtop that mimics the coupe pretty well (and with a sexy spoilerlip).
