Gold coupe fuel tank

Hi folks, my Gold Mk3 fuel tank is a bit leaky, which is no surprise I guess considering how old it is !!

So, question is: has anybody tried to fit a non-Metro tank, such as a universal ally box from the likes of Demon Tweeks? and if so, what sender unit was used and did it all work ok?

There are a couple of new Rover Metro tanks on ebay at the moment and a used A series tank

To make sure my rare turbo tank keeps on going I stripped it and repainted it. The inside was surprisingly almost rustfree and I used 2K epoxy tanksealer to make sure it stays this way. Maybe a good idea to find a good tank and give it a similar treatment.
