Bristol Classic Car Show, June 18th and 19th

Post by ACourtney »

After the success of the club's stand at last November's Classic Vehicle Restoration show, we were delighted to be invited to take a stand at the bigger and more prestigious Bristol Classic Car Show.
This show is the biggest in the South West and probably second only to the NEC Classic Car Show.
The club will again be sharing the stand with the Mini Marcos Owners Club and Tony tells me preparations are well in hand.

Well that was another great show. The Midas Owners Club and Mini-Marcos Owners Club combined stand was again met with much interest and enthusiasm. The weather may not have been brilliant, but that didn't keep the punters away. The classic car park was overflowing both days and we were still talking to visitors as the show drew to a close.
It was good to meet up with the Midas owners who visited us on the stand and a big thanks must go to those owners who showed their cars. As usual we had plenty of banter on the stand and the now traditional chocolate cake was supplemented by Welsh cakes baked by Janet Philips.

The Midas Owners Club was represented by Chris Nicholls' Mk3 Coupe, Tony Moss's Cortez and Meredith Philips, White Mk1 on both days of the show.

Whilst the Mini Marcos Owners Club swapped their cars around, with a Mk IV and a Mk V on Saturday, before Richard Porter's Mini Jem replaced Roger Garland's MkV for Sunday.

Tony has us booked in for the November show again. So if you weren't able to make it along last weekend then keep the weekend clear for November 5th and 6th
