engine removal

Post by goldeneye »

Our trip last summer to Italia was very nice, but not for the engine

I have to remove it from the car to check it.
When i put the engine in, i did it with the subframe and lower the car on it. But is it possibly with a MK2 to get the engine out from the top? With the clutch on it?

It will save some work!

Yes it is possible but a bit of a squeeze, I did it with my MK2 but you need to remove the clutch cover. I also removed the alternator, starter motor and oil filter housing to give me more clearance.
