I am busy with the conversion mkii/ swift 1300 gt and when taking out the A engine I saw something on the underside of the bulkhead .
I will try to explain : the underside of the bulkhead shows a kind of slit ,which does not have topcoat .
First I thought it was a damage, but now I think that there are 2 big pieces which are laminated together .
Also inside the wheel area there are breaking lines ,I suppose this are also together laminated parts ?
Can someone give me confirmation of this ,I hope the pictures in annex will help , thanks !

Re: Bulkhead Midas MKII problem ???
It's a mould line, you can see the angle grinder marks where the original gelcoat excess mould line was removed, however the grp layup was poorly done and the matting wasn't rolled into the corner to contact the gelcoat leaving a gap.
I guess the gelcoat cracked at some point much later in the cars life and someone has ground it out with a grinder, the shell is still perfectly sound though.
