Am I right in thinking the indicator stalk on my !987 car is actually the pre-85 type? Cowl is split left and right. The notes from the previous owner said it was built from post-85 parts, but he didn't build it...

Hi mine is split top and bottom and the inside of the plastic cowl is marked 1985, it's on a 1989 registered mk3.
