Gold convertible for sale

Post by Colin »

Unfortunately I am going to have to sell my Midas convertible. This is a Pastiche car that was constructed in 1990 by Andrew Murray who worked for the Benneton F1 team at the time. It comes with a hard top and a new double duck hood, fitted with front and rear under trays. Some spares. It is fitted with a 1380cc engine, 286 cam, 1.5 roller rockers, stage 3 head recently tuned by AC Dodd. Dark blue in colour with MX5 seats. MOT until June 2027. Lots of information on my website at https://midas.turnlincs.com lots of documentation with the car. £5000 ovno

Great looking car. I remember it well as it has a chassis number which is 1 different to mine (they nearly had the same number!!!). Cant believe how may years have passed since I last spoke to Andy circa 1991/92 when he and I were building our cars together. I thought he worked for RAF logistics at the time. He never mentioned Benneton to me. Maybe he did do that later though. All the best.

David

Yes the Which Kit article said he was RAF but the paperwork I got with the car said Beneton F1 so I don't know which is right. Probably you and Which Kit though I suspect.
