Hi Johnny,

I'm trying to keep this one a little less than over engineered, but a little more than under engineered.. ;)

Hi Kippy,

That would be very useful thank you, unfortunately I've no idea how we could get it down to Devon.

Cheers

Nothing happening at present I'm afraid, 12 hour shifts and other commitments on my few days off are taking precedence at the moment.

That said, I have obtained a pair of Watson springs and a pair of Mini hi-los with Mini knuckle joints.

If I'm going to use the hi-los as they are I'm going to have to mount the upper spring seats quite a long way up. Instead of shortening them as per the Watson items I'm considering machining them so they actually mount upside down. That should be achievable without actually reducing the thread bearing area.

main thing is you've got a lathe, so you can play about.

Glad to say my second set went together a lot better than the first set.

I managed to build them up by putting spring in place first, the sliding arm pin through arm, with still a bit of slack.

I need to find a vertical slide for the Myford, I could use some milling capability with the lathe.
