off side metro door catch

Post by manifold »

Just wondered if anyone has a metro offside drivers side door catch, ie the mechanism that fits in the door, not the pin in the door aperture. Mines gone kapput.

Cheers,

They're not off a Metro, they're Ford Fiesta items on the Mk2.

David is after one for his convertible which does use Metro parts in the doors

There's a Metro on a breakers yard nearby (at least it was 2 months ago). If you can't find anything in England I could pull them out for you.

Hi Hans,

That would be great if you could if you get a chance.

I dont get chance to get to scrap yards these days. They always seem to have later stuff here now...and its usually off the car.

Only the mechanisms I need.....not the pins in the door frame.

Kind regards,

David

Hi David,
I called the breakers yard this morning, but its a dead end. Unfortunately the Metro has been shredded. Pity, it was a nice clean car.

Have you checked if one from a Rover 100 fits? I suppose these are plenty around.
