d.woodspeed wrote:Hi! I'm also interested in a new screen seal. Is the windscreen definately a Fiat 126? Do you also know what car the hatch seal and door seals are from?
Anyway how did you progress with the front seal?

Hi together,

Sorry, my answer is comming this late, but I did put in the windscreen just a few days ago.

Now the good news: the rubber profile i was talking about (W6053) is fitting. The only thing you have to cange is that
on the inside of the car you have to cut the outer lip from top to bottom about 4-5mm. This is the section "D" on the drawing on the homepage (http://www.persiskaner.at) If you dont cut it down the rubber will not fit properly because there is not enough place to the fiberglass of the "A-pillar" . Rubber is easy to cut so it´s not a very hard work.

regards from austria

Maybe an idea for anyone restoring a Gold coupe; I had a chat with Alistair a while ago about modernizing the Gold coupe. One of the things that annoy me is that windscreen rubber. It seems a bit out of place on the car. A solution would be to buy from Alistair a piece of the windscreen frame from the Convertible. It would be the inside of the A-pillar which is an recessed edge. That frame would need to be bonded inside the A-pillar of the gold coupe. Than the windscreen could be bonded in like on the convertible which would give it a much more modern look.

Agree on Hans approach using a convertible's screen rebate.....assuming the price is not silly.

Why not make your own using a cardboard template though. Not that difficult really.
