Roofrack

I've never had much need of a roofrack on a Midas as my wife always had sensible cars that I could use for transporting bikes or kayaks. I did fit one to my first Gold for those odd occasions when real cars weren't available. Since I started living on my own again eighteen months ago I have had to use my Spitfire with its steel hardtop for kayak duties as neither the AC or Midas were roofrack enabled. The Spitfire is now in the back of the garage for some long awaited restoration work, so I've had to sort out a roofrack for the Midas. Today was its first outing, and it worked fine. One advantage is that I can get the Midas and kayak under the 1.8m height restricter at the carpark by the river.

Looks good, Hans. I did something very similar on my Spitfire so I could carry stuff with the roof down.

Only disadvantage I found was that the noise is unbearable at highway speeds and that my boom tends to fill itself up with water. What then drips down on me during the way home
