Hi all,
I have just replaced my coil and my instrument pack and i'm confused as to get the tacho working again, i have connected the black/white wires onto the negative of the coil but nothing.
I connected up my TIM tach gauge and that worked perfectly.
My thoughts are that as i have provided a 'new' 12v ignition live to the coil +positive, removing the original white lead ( that i assumed would be connected to the same position) would this affect the tacho (as the tim tacho needed +ve and -ve feed for correct operation?).
Any ideas welcome!

Hi! Why did you replace instrument pod, was it faulty? If you have wired everthing as before, is it possible your replacement pod is faulty?

Re: Tachometer
The trip meter was broken, i haven't had chance yet to test the old pod back in so it could well be the new one is at fault

Re: Tachometer
Well in that case, i'm putting the original back...be easier to keep a track of the correct mileage of the car.
Can anyone confirm the tacho wires are the black and white wires that connect to the negative of the coil?
