I've seen a Japanese Gold in an old Midas club mag with Koni shocks. Perhaps it was the same car. When I worked at Donkervoort in the eighties Koni's were fitted, but later he switched to White Power. Originally White Power shocks are for motor cycles. I recall he started doing business with WP because they were more flexible and also the dempers had much wider settings. But it's interesting to find out what type Koni's were used for the Gold. I'll contact Koni and ask if they have records of the Koni's supplied to Midas cars.

According to the stack of bills which came with my car I have Spax G999 which cost £124.68 in 1999, still going strong after well over 100,000 miles.
