Wheel alignment Gold

Post by minisweden »

Got my new tyres, thought I would get the wheelalignment sorted. Does anyone have the values for setting up the car? Or should I go for the settings for a MG Metro 1986-1990 that I have found? Grateful for any hints, Ola

I'd say standard Metro settings will be fine.

According the Gold build manual ,that can be downloaded from the archive site, on page 69 Midas advises to set the front wheels at 1/16" toe out.

Well, the company I went to get the alignment done at had a modern marvellous machine. One thing though, it could not set the toe out/in in inches or millimeters. It had to be set in degrees and minutes! Suddenly I felt very old and out of date. However we found the settings for a Mg Metro 1986-1990 in their database, took those measures and I think it worked. The car is now totally different to drive, sharp response and lighter steering.
