I think it's time the club starts rethinking production of the MK3 coupe! Possibly with a new donor!

Hmmm. I wouldnt mind a externally shod carbon fibre Mk3 3. With bare weave. GRP internal structures. With the addition of a small boot/hatch spoiler as per Richard Oakes original pen design. Finished off with black wheels. ;)

Is that available to view online anywhere? I doubt if I've ever seen it, but I would love to see the original.

However, I'm not that fussed about having a road car in bare weave carbon fibre. That's just showing off. :D

Sort of, but it's a matter of degree.

I think David is referring to the drawings that were published in Cars and Car Conversions in May 1985 (which can be downloaded from the Midas Archive site):

Ah, thank you Hans. I'll have a look at those; although seeing that picture, it occurs to me that I may have seen them when they were first published, after all.
