Very nice Rich, do you think you'll have to trim the rubbers down a bit as Alan had to do on his GAZ rear dampers?

Wow these look amazing. Do they have a clear coat? It would be a shame to see them getting dull and corrosive. What did you pay for them?
I went the old school way and just got my Spax units for the front in.

No idea at the moment Stuart, I haven't drilled the rear turret to find the thickness yet. If the worst comes to the worst, I have a load of poly left over from the bushes I made so I can make my own rubbers.

Hi Hans,

I'm not honestly sure, I think they are anodised.

They were £260 delivered for the four which doesn't work out bad for custom made units.

A shame they have to live in all the muck and filth, isn't it? :(

Oh well, best get them dirty then......

I've made up alloy spacers to move them 6mm away from the bump stop bracket as they foul it due to their extra diameter, the upper rubber bush has been thinned down a few mm to make of for the 10mm or so of fibreglass the shaft has to pass through. On the softest setting they feel pretty much as the MG Metro ones did, I suspect a couple of clicks up will do it for me.

What I do notice now (since the springs went in) is how much harsher the back end is over the bumps, it will be nice to be on springs all round but I still need some brackets and springs yet......
