Rich, the the red of your midas the original red or did you too change the colour?

It's the original red gel coat and it needs cutting back at least once a year to keep it red due to the degradation of the red pigment. The long term plan is to paint it.

wow thats hard case cos it looks just like the colour i painted mine hahha - its called brittish red, only found that out after i picked the colour haha but thort hell its fate!

I have asked what the RAL number for it is but no-one seemed to know.

That has to be the shiniest Midas I've ever seen. I wish I had the skills to paint mine like that - or the money to have someone else do it for me!

Incidentally, what's your registration? I can only make out "MIDA..." on the front plate, I'm curious to know what the full plate reads.

hahah yes after blocking it back then 2 layers of paint with clearcoat mixed thru it helped me get it that shiny :) thanks for the compliment!


The plate reads MIDAS I - reason being it was the first road registered midas in nz. i have being tryna decide on what to plate my new midas when it arrives in nz next month but havnt had any kick ass ideas so may go with the generic ones till i have a stroke of genoius.
