Mine is cracked in the same place, not being one to tackle fibreglass, I made a new mount that would spread the load better and also installed an 'ultimate engine steady' from a mini on the thermostat mounting.
I believe my engine also has a rear-ward facing gearbox mount (but if i remember correctly weirdly no forward mount...), I intend to add another gearbox mount, plus look into having a thicker piece of metal fabricated for better load bearing!

Re: engine steady bar
Hi All,
Well the Midas peaked out from under it's winter sheet yesterday......
I've decided that to sort the cracked bulkhead out I really need to get the engine out........
I'm undecided, do I lift the engine out or just drop the whole subframe away from the body with the motor still sat in it????
I've got limited facilities at home and not much space either!!!

Well, I've decided to drop the subframe/engine out from under in one unit..........
I don't know how far I'll get this week as I'm on horrible shifts, 57 hours in 5 days but hoping to be at Stoneleigh on Mon!!!

Re: engine steady bar
I dropped mine out with the frame which went ok. It went back in from the top though.
