Hi Nigel,

Welcome to the forum. I had a look on the DVLA vehicle enquiry page and I can see that your car is still listed and currently on SORN.
It is also listed as being red was that the original colour?
I know of a couple of Midas owners in the Poole area, so it may well be one of them.

Regards,
Alistair

Anyone remotely near Poole/Bournemouth is very welcome to drop me a line and get in touch. Plenty of places to go and see with a Midas

Hi Nigel,

The club hasn't published a register since 1999 when fears/misunderstanding of the data protection act made them stop. Hugh Brodie sent me a copy of the 1999 register a couple of months ago, but you won't be surprised to learn that you were listed as the owner.

The good news is that the club's next treasurer (assuming that he gets voted in on Sunday) Colin Oberlin-Harris wants to reinstate the marque register. So maybe this time next year we will have an answer for you.

Having seen the car on the DVLA website three years ago, I thought it strange that you could not find it so I had a look for myself.
I could not see it when entering 'MIDAS' as the make, then it occurred to me that the Make and Model names may have been merged (the DVLA have done that to one of my cars, which is a pain at MOT time) - to find it you have to enter 'MIDAS GOLD' as the Vehicle Make.
It is still there and still on SORN
