Coil springs
The other day I was moaning to my MoT man about hydragas units, and he wondered if it would be possible to modify the hydragas canisters to contain coil springs. Has anyone ever considered this?

I've tried and failed but the MG owners club do MGF ones based on the same principle (totally ridiculous price)
