I keep clicking on 'log in automatically' but it never does. Is it me?

The weird thing is that on my computer at home I have the same problem. There seems to be a problem with the cookie (I think?). But my computer in my shop doesn't have that problem. It keeps me logged in. How is that possible? I don't know. They are both laptops with Windows XP and have Defender running. The only difference is that in my shop the lap top is connected to ADSL via a cable line and at home I have ADSL with a WiFi wireless system. Should that be the cause?
