speedo cable

Can anyone tell me if the speedo cable fitted to the metro dash, a standard metro cable ? as the one mine looks to have had
a short extra piece fitted !

Even metros have more than one type of cable. When I had to replace the cable on my Excelsior, I found there were two types, both in two parts. One had the longer part at the gearbox end, and the other, the longer part at the speedo end.

Yeah, there's like a funny join near the bulkhead.
Quite handy if its on the way and your mid job
