Help required. Late dad's Midas

Hi All

My Dad recently passed and was in the process of getting a Midas he'd picked up last year in good shape.

I've thought about it for a bit and decided i'd start looking into maybe carrying it on or selling and passing the money onto my mum. I'm more a motorbike man and non really up on any A-series stuff. Could you guys take a look at these pictures and just spell out to me what it is I've got there in terms of model, age etc.

Despite the bodywork looking a little tired and the interior being all over the place its actually all pretty solid. looks like a 1275. He was driving it around last year although the MOT has expired and did a load of work on the steering and running gear. Looks like he taken the radiator off to replace it and was talking about tidying up the wiring.

One thing that sticks out to me is the doors, the top of the window frame is not close enough to the car, it looks like its been accepted by the previous owner/s as they have made an attempt to add more foam to create a seal. Is this the sign of anything? A typical problem or just a bodge. There is no way I could tolerate it.

That's a mk2, if you brace the bottom of the window frame inside the door you can get the doors to fit better, it's a kit car designed in the 1970's so door fit is never going to be as good as today's cars.

Yes mainly Mini based with the added addition of some Metro parts and a mix of Ford, Renault, Talbot, Allegro, TR7, Fiat and a couple I'm not sure about
